Every year, most emergency calls answered by the RNLI are due to simple problems with diesel engines. Many of the problems would be relatively simple to correct if only the mariners knew how to fix them.

The RYA Diesel Engine Course is the first national scheme of its kind aimed specifically at engine maintenance and welcomes people with no previous mechanical experience.
